Another day and another cruise ship was visiting Liverpool’s Cruise Liner Terminal – which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Today’s ship was the CMV Magellan, which has visited Liverpool earlier this month on the 6th. That visit was supposed to have been her maiden visit to the city but she made an unscheduled visit here last August when she was taking refuge from storms in the Irish Sea. There is a farewell event for her when she sails later today, but I chose not to go to that and went to photograph her this afternoon instead.
You can view my photos/videos of the Magellan last August on my YouTube channel. Today’s photos/videos are also on YouTube, the video is also at to top of this post. You can also watch raw footage of just the videos from today.
The Magellan today marks the last of 9 ships to have visited Liverpool on the last 11 consecutive days. There is now no cruise ship in the River Mersey until the Magellan returns again on the 27 June. She will be here again on 8 July, 15 July and 5 September.
