Saturday 2 July 2016–Cunard’s “Queen Elizabeth” at Liverpool last night

I took these photos from the promenade at Woodside, about a mile across the river from Liverpool where the Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth had been berthed all day yesterday. She was in Liverpool to mark the 100th anniversary of the Cunard Building at Liverpool’s Pier Head. The building was the home of the Cunard shipping company from 1916 until the mid 1960s when the company moved to Southampton. It was sold by Cunard to Prudential in 1969, then it was sold to Wirral Borough Council in 2001 who sold it to Liverpool City Council in 2013.
